Boxing is considered to be one of the most demanding of physical activities and also for its ability to condition the entire body. It improves cardiovascular and muscular endurance by means of a high intensity calorie burning workout that is fun, invigorating and challenging from start to finish. Circuit training and boxing most of all provide an alternative activity to the more traditional forms of gym and outdoor fitness.

Your core is a fundamental part of any type of physical movement. The muscles that make up your core act as stabilizers and assisting in the efficient transfer of force during any movement and especially during an athletic activity. A strong core reduces instances of fatigue and injury and is the foundation of the Boxing Beach Fit program.

Our strength based circuit training stimulates both the aerobic and anaerobic energy system vastly improving athletic performance, general fitness and weight loss. Combined with the core training and effort required during boxing, 400 plus calories can be burned in a 30 minute period. With correct intensity and effort and including the post workout phase of calorie expenditure (during which period the body is predominantly using fat for fuel) 600-700 + calories can be burned as a result of 1 workout!

PERFORMANCE FIT:

Class time: 6am 8am

Our PERFORMANCE FIT Class offers the most intensity by incorporating exercise routines used in Landman’s own training philosophy and much of the work we do with the professional athletes in our program. Lots of intensity, lots of rest and lots of variation! We address the aerobic and anaerobic component of fitness, core strength and its improved function with any type of physical movement, overall athletic ability and the learning of a skill.

 

Some key aspects:

 

  • Boxing – Vastly improves cardiovascular fitness and muscle endurance, tones and burns calories.
  • Core – Improve strength and effectiveness in providing the support needed to support the modern day lifestyle
  • Plyometrics – Improve strength, conditioning and achieve weight loss goals through a structured format of body weight resistance exercises performed in a circuit training routine. Challenge you anaerobic capacity and burn hundreds of calories in a short time.

 

BEACH FIT:

Class time: 5am 7am

Our BEACH FIT Class offers varying intensity with active recovery placing more emphasis on the aerobic aspect of fitness i.e. improving cardiovascular fitness. Boxing is a very engaging full body workout and especially effective in improving levels of fitness and burning calories. Due to the high-repetition nature of the sport its contributes more toward toning and less to muscle gains making it a perfect workout for both men and woman. We also emphasize core strength; a strong core enhances balance and stability, reduces the onset of fatigue, reduces the risk of injury and improves posture. Sitting at a desk, doing house chores, lifting, walking and any athletic activity all benefit from having a health core.

  • Core – Improve strength and effectiveness in providing the support needed to support the modern day lifestyle
  • Strength – Basic full body functional movements utilizing your body weight as resistance and exercises which compliment the boxing and core components. The CORE-CHALLENGE is a great workout for anyone looking to improve general fitness, lose weight and improve fitness.

 

CORE FIT:

Class time: 9am

Our CORE FIT class offers a low intensity hour of training with a focus on cardiovascular fitness; core, lower back and hips; flexibility and stability. Boxing will challenge the lungs and heart while rotating through a variety of exercises designed to improve core strength, hip strength and mobility flexibility movements. An improvement in each of these areas will significantly enhance your ability to perform daily tasks as well as any sporting activities, improve posture, improve joint mobility and reduce the instance of pain. This is a great “feel good” class and also a great opportunity as an active recovery session after a tough session of training or competition. De-stress, improve your sense of well-being, feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

  • Stretch/Flex is a combination of stability and stretching to improve posture, core strength and hip mobility and function both of which have a direct impact on how the limbs respond to a desired action.
